Why I created the Company Model framework and Hillspeed Coaching.
Opportunity
The problem with every framework and system in business, regardless of what it’s for, is it puts your attention on the model → instead of your thinking within the model.
The book ‘The Lean Startup’ by Eric Ries, influenced how a generation of founders built technology products.
The ‘Lean Canvas’ by Ash Maurya and Alex Osterwalder's ‘Business Model Canvas’, both gave CEOs a frame for looking at the components of a working business model.
The ‘Entrepreneurs Operating System’ (EOS) and ‘Scaling Up’ by Verne Harnish, gave CEOs a system and tool set for scaling traditional leadership.
But something was still missing, evident by the fact that many capable tech founders were following these frameworks and still failing to step into their unique founder potential.
Solution
In sport we put the athlete at the centre of their model and talk to their truth about where they want to go - in context to the what is true today.
A Company Model puts the founder or CEO at the centre of their model in the same objective way → so we can reverse engineer the structure and rules that defines how a founder thinks as an athlete inside their own game.
This creates a systematic approach to high performance which we engineer at three different layers. Company, Leadership and Self.
This is founder-mode coaching.
